After spending her early 20s teaching in Prague, Samantha returned to the US with $30 and the desire to further pursue writing. Starting her career in copywriting, she has worked on campaigns for the NBA, American Red Cross, CenturyLink, HGTV, Comedy Central, Teen Vogue, Allure and The New Yorker (among many others). In the daylight, Samantha heads up editorial content and programming for XP Land, then, when the sun goes down, you guessed it, she continues as an opinion writer for POPSUGAR, Thought Catalog and Bustle among other lifestyle sites. When not writing, Samantha obsesses over Broadway and her dog, Jasper, teaches vinyasa yoga and is working on her Reiki certification.
What events and experiences did you miss the most during Covid?
Broadway. My first time back once the theaters reopened is one of my most cherished memories. The whole audience gave a standing ovation before the first actor even spoke.
When did you realize you had a future in experiential?
When I would meticulously plan slumber parties in elementary school. They included full brunch menus and atmospheric lighting.
What's your dream event to attend?
I have to experience Burning Man at least once in my life. For the community... and the outfits.
